Welcome to SpeakBit Community!

Where you meet and grow with other non-native entrepreneurs

Hi there! Welcome to the community and congrats on your first step towards financial freedom and live the fullest of your life! 🥳 đźŽ‰ Here, we bring together non-native entrepreneurs to learn and grow on our business journeys together so that we can see our impact, live up to our potential, and connect with others as our authentic selves.

Mission

Our mission is to build a system to help non-native entrepreneurs transition from “9-5 career“ to “financial freedom lifestyle“.

Our culture is to give more than you take (that’s how you learn and grow).

Journey

Mission means nothing if we are not making progress. Culture means nothing if our decisions and behaviors don’t reflect our beliefs. In this community, we focus on helping members navigate through a 3-stage journey:

Stage 1: Have a stable life (you have already reached one)

Stage 2: Reach minimum financial freedom (established monthly reoccurring income that takes less time than 20 hours/week and covers your basic expense)

Stage 3: Clarity of your next big thing (what it looks like and how to get there, whether it’s staying home dad or building your empire)

Once you accomplish this 3-stage journey, you probably will want to restructure your life or join one of those high-net-worth mastermind groups, but we always love to stay connected and be part of your growth journey!

Members

To keep this community tight and effective, we are very selective on who should become our members. We are experimenting a lot of practices and currently only let in people who satisfies three or more of the following traits:

  1. Non-native English speaker

  2. Don’t have visa issues (you already have a green card, or you simply don’t think that’s the major source of your stress)

  3. Demonstrated the habit of hardworking and pursuit of freedom (e.g., getting into a Ph.D. program, landing a well-paid job, launched your own business, bouncing back from a major life setback, etc.)

  4. Reached the clarity and determination to pursue a “meaningfully rich life.”

  5. Demographic: age>30, highly educated, technical background, struggled with anxiety or depression in the past, located in USA

Activities

Now you have a better understanding of who we are and why we are here, here are the activities and support you can expect from the community:

  1. Personal ambassador

    1. To make sure every member feel included and supported, you will be assigned with a personal ambassador since day one. They will reach out to you once you finished the onboarding process.

    2. A personal ambassador is someone who has been in the community for a while and, ideally, share similar background and interests as you. The biggest motivation of becoming a personal ambassador is to learn and practice help other members’ personal growth. This is what makes a leader.

  2. Monthly Workshops on topics like

    1. “How to strategize your life goals?“

    2. “Career Transition Or Passive Income?“

    3. “Side Hustles Top-Down Comparison“

    4. “Bootstrap Your First Business“

    5. etc.

  3. Mastermind Groups

    What is a Mastermind Group?

    1. You will first define your life goals through the online workshop or talking to your ambassador. Once you reached some level of clarity regarding to what you want to get out of your group, you will be introduced to your group members.

    2. We try to maintain a group size of 3-5 people to make sure everyone is fully engaged.

    3. Another factor that impacts the efficiency of the group is the common ground shared by it members. Ideally, all members are in the similar stages in their lives and share similar goals or goals with similar magnitude of challenges.

    4. The specific duration, cadence and format will be decided by the group members, but the a good starting point is a weekly cadence of 45 minutes with the format of facilitated personal update and spotlight workshop:

      1. Facilitator: each group will have a volunteer-based facilitator who moves the session forward and make sure each member make the most out of each session.

      2. Personal update: since you defined your life goal when joining the group, you will update the group about your past week/month progress. Each member will give their update in 1-3 minutes.

      3. Spotlight workshop: If you are struggling some personal issue in life, very likely someone else in the group share that experience. The purpose of this workshop is to debug your problem with your peers. Even they don’t share exact same experience, just a refreshing perspective can be helpful. This can be either rotate or totally volunteer-based.

    5. Everything shared in the group should be deemed as highly confidential by default. It will take some time to warm up and share your real thoughts and feelings with your peers, but we will get there because that’s the real value of a mastermind group.

Again, welcome to the community!

Now, say “hi” in the #say-hi channel and your ambassador will reach out to you soon after!
